LG Electronics lodged a suit related to a PDP patent infringement against HITACHI Corp.
In connection with the technology about driving of PDP and a cell structure, LG Electronics filed a damage suit and a patent infringement inhibition suit to an East District Court in Texas, USA against the head office of HITACHI, USA, and FHP Corp. providing panels. Both companies have been negotiating an agreement which allows the PDP patent rights to be used mutually since 2005, but they could not make an agreement because the patent values were evaluated differently by both parties.
